Der Defender ist von aussen ein groß wirkendes Auto, im Inneren sucht man aber schon ein wenig, wo der viele Platz sein soll. Das liegt daran, dass viel Platz verschwendet wird. So reichen die hinteren Radhäuser bis zum Ende des Fahrzeuges und lassen so viel Platz ungenutzt. Während dort rechts inzwischen der Durchlauftank verbaut ist, gibt es links ein Staufach, dass so ziemlich alle Pannen und Bergungsutensilien beinhaltet: Abschleppseil, Überbrückungskabel, Reifenreparatur-Kit inkl. Kompressor, Erste-Hilfe-Kasten, Warnlicht, Windensteuerung, Handschuhe. Nur das Warndreieck passte aufgrund der Länge nicht hinein. Die erste Version hatte einen ziemlich fadenscheinigen Verschlußmechanismus, der dazu führte, dass während der Fahrt die Tür aufging. Das ist jetzt korrigiert und ohne massive Gewalteinwirkung geht die Tür nicht mehr ungewollt auf.
The Defender looks spacious from the outside, but in the inside you might question were all the space has gone. Reason is that a lot of the space is wasted or remains unused. For example the rear wheel houses reach to the end of the car. While in the meantime one of the additional tanks occupy this room on the right side, on the left side a storage box offers plenty of space for most of the car-related gear: towing rope, jumper cable, tire repair kit including compressor, first-aid-kit, warning light, winch control, working gloves. Only the warning triangle did not fit. The first revision of the locking mechanism was crap. It happened that the door opened while driving. This is corrected and the door opens no longer inadvertently.
